Karanjit Panesar is an artist and filmmaker based in Leeds.
In his multidisciplinary practice, he obliquely explores diasporic experience and structures of power and authority. Frequently starting from moving image, he constructs multi-layered environments in which films spiral outwards into stylized and theatrical installations that include sculpture and other media.
Images, materials and ideas spill into and out of the space of the screen, forming networks that echo and contaminate one another.
